Privacy notice

Who we are
This website, ceruleansystems.com, is operated by Cerulean Systems Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number 14480470), 15 Essex Street, London WC2R 3AA. Cerulean Systems Ltd is the controller for any personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at hello@ceruleansystems.com.
This notice covers the marketing website only. The Cerulean platform itself is provided to clients under contract, with its own privacy documentation.
What this site collects
As little as we could manage:
- No cookies. The site sets none. No consent banner is needed because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics or tracking. No tag managers, pixels, fingerprinting or audience measurement of any kind.
- No third-party requests. Every asset on this site (pages, styles, scripts, fonts, images and the embedded product demonstration) is served from our own domain. Your visit is not disclosed to any font, script or content delivery network.
- No forms. The only way to contact us from this site is by email.
The product demonstration
The interactive viewer embedded in this site runs entirely in your browser and displays only fictional, synthetic case material (the invented matter Smith v Hughes). It transmits nothing, stores nothing, and contains no real case data and no real personal data.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs: the requesting IP address, user agent, the page requested and a timestamp. We use these solely to keep the site secure and diagnose faults, under our legitimate interest in operating it (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days and are never used to profile visitors.
If you email us
If you write to us, we hold your correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any relationship that follows from it, under our legitimate interest in responding to you (and, where you are asking about the product, as a step prior to entering a contract).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of them, email hello@ceruleansystems.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we ever add anything to this site that collects more than the above (a contact form, analytics, anything), we will update this notice first and add a consent mechanism where the law requires one.
